Jaume Fàbregas is Trumpet Instructor at the Conservatory of Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), since 2004.

At the same time he teaches privately in his own studio in Sant Cugat, where he teaches prive trumpet, orchestral excerpts and trumpet ensemble.

Born in Barcelona in 1968, Jaume Fàbregas started studying piano when he was eight and completed his ‘Título Superior de Profesor de Piano’ at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona in 1991.

In 1995 he fulfills his mandatory militar service in Ferrol, Galicia, where works as a trumpet and cornet player.

In 1996 he moves to the United States where he obtains the prestigious ‘Artist Certificate’ in Piano Performance at the Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, in the class of maestro Joaquín Achúcarro. At the same university he completes the Master of Music in Piano in May of 1999.

From 1999 to 2002 he pursues his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the West Virginia University, which he completes in May of 2002.

During his stay in the United States he continues his trumpet studyies, completing the ‘Título Superior de Trompeta’ at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona in 2004.

Parallel to his teaching activity, he collaborates with different orchestras as a pianist and trumpet player, like the Chamber Orchestra of Andorra and other Spanish and American orchestras.
